the guestlist.

I never really put a lot of thought into what my wedding would be like, mainly because getting married really wasn't up there on my list of "mandatory things to do." I knew we would get married eventually, but I had no idea that it would be next year!

So when it came down to our guest list, I assumed that I wouldn't have a long list of people to invite. Dave and I sat down and put together a "mine" and "yours" list of friends & family to invite and we came up with over 220 people. Holy cow. I think I was more surprised to find that I had a lot more friends & family than I thought I did. I was even more surprised to hear that an average wedding has about 250-300 people. Yowza!

The majority of our budget will definitely be on the catering-side (which I think is what the norm is for all weddings) - and as much as it might make sense to "cut down" the list, we really can't think of any reason why we should. After all, it's our wedding day and all the people on the list are people we want celebrating with us.
